Our model DUO is based on the all-new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter,
wheelbase 3.665 mm. Therefor the vehicle is 5,91 m long, 2,70 m high
and 1,99 m wide.
The CDI engines start with an output of 95 kW/129 PS as a four
cylinder. As an option there are also 120 kW/163 PS available. The top
engine is a 3,0 liter V6 CDI engine with 140 kW/190 PS. All engines are
equipped with diesel particulate filters and measure up to EURO 5.
Coming as standard is a 6 gear manual transmission but there is also a
5 gear automatic transmission available as an option for all engines.
The essential safety equipment ESP as well as ABS, TCR and
driver/passenger airbag come as standard. Also coming as standard are
central locking with remote control, electrical windows, electrical and
heated mirrors and heat-insulated glass in the driver's cabin. The
further options are manifold from all-wheel drive to Xenon headlights.
The DUO always is equipped with a special chassis version with stronger
stabilizers and stronger shock absorbers to improve the driving safety.
The standard gross vehicle weight of 3.200 kg usually is enough but
there is also the possibility to order the DUO with a gross vehicle
weight of 3.500 kg.
We made it our challenge to create a sleek and compact vehicle
consequently for two people with the biggest possible comfort for these
two people in consideration of the size of the vehicle. In the
spotlight of this concept you see the two single beds that are arranged
one above the other. The lower bed is 81 cm wide, the upper bed is ca.
79 cm wide with a maximun length of the beds of ca. 195 cm. The
valuable 10 cm cold foam mattresses are in one piece and base on a
slatted frame. Every sleeping place is equipped with a window, 70x30
cm, a LED lamp and a utensils pocket. Below the lower bed one can find
a big storage which is accessible either from above or from the back of
the vehicle. Also the 97 l fresh water tank is placed there. All across
the back of the vehicle the wet room is located, which is very much
like the approved ones in our other models. Coming as standard there is
a cassette toilet by Thetford, a lavatory with stowing capacities for
the 5 and 11 kg gas bottles underneath as well as another storage
compartment for bathroom equipment. Two mirrors as well as further
deposits and a shower tub with a wraparound shower curtain also belong
to our standard facilities.
The floor-to-ceiling wardrobe is located right in front of the beds.
On the floor of the wardrobe the heating-boiling combination Truma
Combi 4 is located. Depending on the choice of the bench there will be
a three or four seat seating compartment around the shiftable table
with involving the two rotatable driver's cabin seats. In combination
with the optional Vario bench there can also be a third bed. On the
opposite side the spacious kitchen unit is placed that contains a
flush-mounted cooker (with piezo ignition) and sink and some drawers
and cabinets. Between the wet room and the kitchen unit a big stowage
is placed where the 90 l compressor fridge is mounted half-height.
Above the kitchen, driver's cabin and seating compartment there are
also some spacious storage boxes. Of course the vehicle is equipped
with a boosted water supply with household armatures. The waste water
tank is located under floor. The centerpiece of the electrical
installation is a 235 Ah gel battery which is provided by a 30 A
charger. The lighting only consits of high quality LED lamps. There are
enough lamps to make sure that the vehicle is perfectly lid. Naturally
there are as well 12 V as also 220 V sockets installed. Accsessible
throgh the rear of the vehicle we placed the gas plant that works with
two gas bottles, one 5 kg and one 11 kg. The cabinetry always consits
of 15 mm HPL-coated poplar ply wood, available in some different
decors. All edges are made of real wood. Of course a complete real wood
cabinetry is also an option. The isolation of 20 mm PE foam is made for
highest demands. On top of that isothermal mats for the driver's cabin
windows and a wraparound curtain for the driver's cabin comes as
standard. All windows as well as the standard tilt/slide sunroof have
naturally insulating glass and equipped with blinds and mosquito nets.
Also available are options like solar arrays, automatically satellite
receivers, monitors, navigations or underfloor heating. The endless
possibilities make every vehicle an individual item in an outstanding
quality.
